Our Programs

Our Programs are Friendly, Inclusive and Targeted Towards the Needs of the Quad Cities

We are excited to share our passion for fostering a strong, connected community through our ongoing and upcoming programs.

Our programs not only contribute to creating a supportive environment in which individuals can learn new skills, but also collaborate, and develop lasting relationships.

By engaging with these inclusive initiatives, participants help nurture strong bonds within the community as a whole, inspiring positive change and lasting connections.

  • Saturday Morning Reading Club

Saturday Morning Reading Club will be held every Saturday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Rock Island Downtown Public Library, in the Children’s Room. Children and teens are welcome to participate, and each week the group will read aloud helping them improve their reading skills and foster a love of literature.

The purpose of this initiative is to create an enjoyable and interactive setting in which children can practice reading, receive encouragement, and boost their self-confidence as they progress. It also aims to create stronger relationships between the community’s younger generations and the public library system, further strengthening a love of reading and learning.
